This Ashram was started in a Near Hospital, Pedem, Madhusa. The Ashram is run for the homeless and helpless old people, mentally challenged patients, and children of mentally challenged patients

JAS is constantly working toward the sensitization of the public toward the importance of looking after the elderly and the homeless. Apart from providing shelter and care for these destitute; JAS works in parallel toward creating awareness via sessions in schools and colleges to make them aware of the importance of looking after the elderly; at home and otherwise.

The JAS team works tirelessly with a dedicated focus to cater to the roadside destitute and patients, in need of medical attention or those who are homeless.A good association and rapport with doctors and hospitals help in immediate and cost-effective treatment for the beneficiaries.With professional psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, project in charge, social workers and care providers the approach is to rehabilitate patients, preserving and enhancing health, enhancing quality of life while attempting a reunion with patient’s lost families.

A training program was conducted for the JAS team - 36 staff in June & Dec 2018, with the objective of instilling confidence among the team members about the work of JAS, & to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. The training focussed on various reporting formats, MIS system, organizational policies and staff role and responsibilities.
